As a member I want to view all my member benefits in one place, engage with the organizational community, while also managing my monthly subscription and firm accounts.

User Personas

This product will be for our four user personas: Early adopter, Fast Follower, Late Adopter, and Laggard, because it is essential that all members have access to their membership.

User Research/Testing

  • I Interviewed all company service line directors to align with the goals of each department.

  • I interviewed users at each firm phase (preparing, implementing, building, and scaling) to identify what benefits are most important to them

  • I conducted A/B testing before dev team hand off

  • I conduced user testing after product launch

Collaboration

  • The product owner created a PRD

  • I conducted user research and UX interviews

  • I created LoFi wireframes with listed informational architecture

  • The dev team, product owner, and I reviewed user research against LoFi wireframes to determine if new iterations needed to happen

  • I created HiFi wireframes and reviewed with executives to discuss how business objectives would be achieved through this design

  • I created prototypes and conducted A/B testing with our beta membership participants

  • I finalized the prototype iterations and passed off to the dev team with design notes

  • I assisted the product owner in QA and then met with the dev team one final time before initial launch.

  • Once the portal was launched, I conducted user testing with our internal membership to gain insight

  • I updated designs and handed off to the dev team for a feature update

  • Once the MVP was launched I also continued to design future features for the portal.

XY Archive

Problem Statement

As a financial advisor, I need to track how I stay compliant with industry standards when electronically communicating with my active or potential clients. 

Requirements

  • Electronic communication account list

  • Defined flagged word list

  • Flagged data filtered down

  • Flagged data comment section

  • Archived monitoring sessions to provide to auditors 

  • Firm settings

Success Metrics

  • Advisors' audit success rate increases

  • All electronic communications are being tracked 100% of the time

  • Financial Advisors increase their required data monitoring sessions defined by industry standards.

Personas

This product's target market includes all financial advisors who communicate with their active or potential clients through electronic communications.  Laggards tend to be excluded from this list, because research shows that laggard financial advisors prefer to interact with their clients in person and through manual paperwork.

Problem Statement

As a financial advisor I want to automate the process of sending industry compliant invoices and requirements to my clients during the financial planning process.

Requirements

  • Align all list views and progress buttons to filter into one place

  • Align client contact records to automated workflow process

  • Automated payment workflow that works for both small and enterprise firms

  • Create automations that trigger requirements and payments to be sent to client at appropriate times

Success Requirements

  • Increased on-time payments from clients

Problem Statement

As a Product Line Manager I need a system that is more user friendly, while still allowing me to complete the necessary tasks.

Requirements

  • Update seasonal line sheet page to reflect all design options

  • ,Update Body of Measurement (BOM) page to make it easier to create and add measurements

  • Update Construction page to make it easier to add  fit details, images, and instructions 

  • Update Details page to make it easier to add in hardware, fabrics, colorways, and quantities and

  • Update image page to make it easier to upload and edit images.

Collaboration

  • This was an established product used by major companies like Ralph Lauren and Adidas.

  • The product owner provided feature requirements

  • I worked closely with the product owner, the dev team, and a project manager. I also had 16+ years of experience in the garment industry, so I was pulled onto this project as a SME.

  • Research was provided for me

  • I created LoFi wireframes and met with the project team on a daily basis to shape the user flows.

  • Once approved, I created HiFi wireframes to show their executive team.

  • Being that I was brought onto this project as an SME and a UI designer, I was not part of the A/B testing, although I created the UI for the A/B testing.
